Find out how big the world’s population was when you were born

The UN is set to announce that the world’s population is has reached 7 billion. The BBC has been exploring how this is affecting daily lives: Seven billion and counting.

The Guardian has a great tool that can calculate how big the population was when you were born:  How big was the world’s population when you were born?

Apparently when I was born there were: 4,613,015,748 people and the fastest growing country was Qatar at 11.58%. Interesting. Why not check out how many people there were when you were born using the link above.
